In a bid to renew the public sector services, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has initiated plans in all state departments to report back on improvements that should be implemented.
Secretaries of the various ministries and senior members of government departments have been tasked with submitting a report on the shortcomings in their respective ministries and suggestions for improvements.
President Rajapaksa according to the President's Media Division is gearing to implement such plans after review from January 2020 onwards.
In addition, those initiatives that would put less burden on the public and would foster a more efficient means of service such as offering services to make payments online would also be considered.
