The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has called for an investigation report from Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) into an island wide power failure today from 12.45 pm onwards which disrupted the economic and institutional activities as well as the activities of the general public, the Commission said.
Referring to the Conditions mentioned in the License given to CEB, the PUCSL demanded a comprehensive report containing the initial investigations on the cause of the failure and details of the restoration process on or before August 20.
The PUCSL also urged to submit another detailed investigation report on the failure and the actions taken to avoid similar in future, on or before September 17.
