The faculty of technology at the Jaffna university closed for a week starting from yesterday (Feb 26) owing to complaints of ragging.
The Unversity Council announcing this decision said that a series of ragging incidents had led to the temporary closure.
Academic activities at the Faculty would resume once the situation is restored, Vice-Chancellor Prof Ratnam Vigneswaran said.
