A 'Shramadana' campaign was held today (19) to clean the train stations and either side of the rail tracks along the Maradana to Padukka stretch of the Kelani Valley line. The campaign was conducted with the participation of railway trade unions.
About 800 railway employees took part in the campaign, which saw them paint train stations, repair sign boards, and clean the area on either side of the rail tracks.
