Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has called at the Police unit of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the Easter Sunday attacks to provide a statement , officials said.
Mr Wickremesinghe had been summoned to the Police unit, earlier, but had sought another date as he was unable to be present on the previous day. Accordingly the Police unit had given another date.
Last week the Police unit of the Commission recorded the statement of former President Maithripala Sirisena at his residence.
