Attorney General Dappula de Livera has directed the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) to record statements from the current and former judges who have been involved in telephone conversations with MP Ranjan Ramanayake.
Coordinating Officer to the AG, State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne stated that the CCD has been directed to record statements of judges Padmini Ranawaka Gunathilake, Dhammika Hemapala and Gihan Pilapitiya and submit a report to the AG.
Ms Jayaratne stated that the AG will decide on subsequent legal action once the CCD forwards its report.
