Rathgama Pradeshiya Sabha member shot dead
Chairman of the Rathgama Pradeshiya Sabha, Manoj Pushpakumara Mendis, has been shot dead at a hotel in Hikkaduwa last night, police said. He was rushed to the Karapitiya Hospital following the shooting which took place during a social gathering at the hotel. However, he had succumbed to injuries shortly after. Hikkaduwa Police have launched an investigation into the incident
