Relatives of Disappeared Persons staged a protest march today in Kilinochchi and Mulllaithivu demanding the Office of Missing Persons (OMP) should be located in North and East instead of proposed office in Colombo.
Commencing the march from Mullaithivu Catholic Church, the protesters requested government to set up the office in North since majority of the missing cases reported from the region and easy access to it.
A similar protest also was held in front of Kilinochchi Kandaswamy temple where relatives of the disappeared marched towards the office of a local politician.
