The Postmaster-General following discussion with the Acting Inspector General of Police has announced a grace period for those who are unable to pay fines due to the closure of post offices in the Western province.
Accordingly, those fined, will not need to pay for the days offices were closed due to COVID second wave to the day inter-district travel is allowed.
Postmaster General Ranjith Ariyaratne said the relief has been approved by the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance.
