A report on the phone call recordings obtained from IGP Pujith Jayasundara over the alleged VIP assassination plot has been submitted before the Colombo Chief Magistrates Court yesterday (Feb 21).
The report was submitted by Government Analyst A. Welianga following an investigation which was carried out on the recordings.
Previously, deleted phone call recordings of Anti-Corruption Force Director Namal Kumara who revealed the assassination plot, were retrieved by a Hong Kong based company.
The CID had then forwarded these recordings to the Government Analysts' Department to determine whether Mr. Kumara had made phone calls to IGP Jayasundara in connection to the plot.
However, the Government Analyst said that he cannot make any comment with regard to the report that was submitted before court yesterday.
