Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said that speculative reports of a possible attack on bridges has been confirmed to be false following investigations in this regard.
"There is a letter circulating on social media warning of such attacks. The relevant authorities have been informed regarding this letter," Mr. Gunasekara told a news conference yesterday (May 05).
He added that investigations had been conducted to determine the veracity of the letter following which it had been confirmed that there was no truth to such warnings.
"Therefore, the people do not have to fear such attacks," the Spokesman for the Police said.
