A group of returnees from abroad who had completed their mandatory quarantine period at the quarantine camp established at the Batticaloa Campus premises left for their homes yesterday.
They were among the first batch to complete their quarantine period enforced by the Government on returnees from South Korea, Italy and Iran due to the severe outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in these countries.
The group were issued with certificates noting that they had completed their quarantine period and were transported to their homes via buses provided by the Sri Lanka Army.
