Returning tourists who are unable to find transport to the airport can contact the nearest police station in order to coordinate transportation facilities, Sri Lanka Tourism Board (SLTB) said today.
Meanwhile Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) has also assured that the air ticket could be used in lieu of a curfew pass for the passengers as well as the vehicle and driver. Accordingly, drivers should go to the nearest police station, show the booking and get a curfew pass to collect the guest, drop the guest to the airport and respectively return to the drivers' home.
Tourist Police Division said if there are any difficulties, tourists can call Police Headquarters’ special operations room: 0112444480, 0112444481, 0115978730, 0115978734 and 0115978720.
