Minister Rishad Bathiudeen last week urged that a Parliamentary Select Committee be appointed in order to probe into the allegations which have been levelled against him.
"The people who make allegations against me knowingly or unknowingly safeguard the real terrorists" the Minister told Parliament last week.
During his address, Minister Bathiudeen refuted the allegations which have been levelled against him claiming that he has been involved in terrorism related activities.
He also clarified that he had taken wing to Oman to discuss regarding a government project with some state officials in Oman and not to escape the country in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday attacks, as claimed by certain individuals.
"Therefore I call speaker to immediately appoint a PSC to investigate this. The people who make allegations against me knowingly or unknowingly safeguard the real terrorists and fundamentalists," he charged.
