A Romanian national who had withdrawn Rs 2.5 million from ATM machines using a fake credit card has been remanded until August 5 by the Panadura Magistrate’s court today (Jul 29).
Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officers had apprehended the suspect inside the bank with several fake ATM cards after a complaint had been lodged by a private bank over this matter.
Accordingly, court was informed that information pertaining to several transactions carried out by the accused, Arvan Andrei Daniel, using these cards had been revealed during investigations.
