The ruling on the objections filed over the corruption case against former minister A H M Fowzie will be delivered on July 26, the Chief Magistrate's Court announced today (Jul 12).
This was announced after both parties had submitted written submissions concerning the objections to Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.
Former minister Fowzie has been accused of causing losses worth Rs 1,073,000 to the government by misusing a state vehicle belonging to the Disaster Management Centre .
The Bribery and Corruption Commission which prosecuted charges against the former minister claimed that the offence had taken place between 2010 and 2015.
