The salaries of public sector employees for the month of April will be paid on April 8. Accordingly, employees will not receive their festival advance for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
However, the Ministry of Public Administration has noted that the installments and interest on advances obtained by public sector employees should not be deducted from their April and May salaries.
