The Samagi Youth Force, a youth wing of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) lodged a complaint today against those who are responsible regarding the destruction of the royal pavilion of King Bhuvanekabahu II in Kurunegala.
The complaint was lodged with the Acting Inspector General of Police Chandana Wickckramarathne by the Chairman of the Samagi Youth Force, former Member of Parliament Mayantha Dissanayake, Publicity Secretary Rasika Jayakody and National Organizer Chamith Wijesundera.
Earlier Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa appointed an expert committee to investigate into the demolition of 13th Century building, built by King Buwanekabahu II.
It was demolished last Thursday following instructions from the Mayor of Kurunegala ahead of the Archeology Department to conduct excavation and restoration process. (Pix and News by Sameera Weerasekara)
