All schools in the Galle and Matara districts will close tomorrow (Sept 26) and on Friday owing to the inclement weather, Southern Governor Hemal Gunasekara said.
Schools in Galle and Matara had closed on Monday and Tuesday as heavy rains battered the Southern region of the country.
The Disaster Management Centre said that 11,510 persons had been affected in Galle while 13,448 had been affected in Matara due to flooding and heavy winds.
