Search on for escaped Anuradhapura prison inmate
An inmate has escaped from an open prison camp in Anuradhapura yesterday, local media reported.
A high-ranking officer assigned to the Anuradapura prison is quoted as saying that the individual had been in remand custody for an alcohol-related offence.
Police have launched an operation to find the inmate. It is learnt that the inmate is a resident of Vavuniya.
