According to the breakdown of allocation of funds for Ministries set out in the Appropriation Bill 2019, the Ministry of Defence is to receive the highest allocation of Rs 392 Billion.
A statement from the Minstry of Finance detailing the breakdwon of government expenditure set out in the Appropriation bill revealed that the total state expenditure for 2019 amounts to Rs 4450 billion of which Rs. 2,232 billion has been allocated for debt servicing.
The Appropritation Bill outlining the government's expenditure for 2019 is to be submitted before Parliament today (Feb 05) by Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mangala Samaraweera.
