The travel ban imposed on Avant Garde Chairman Nishshanka Senadhipathi was lifted by the Colombo High Court today (Oct 11).
Sendhapithi, has been charged by the Bribery Commission for offering a bribe of Rs 35.5 million to Rakna Lanka Company Chairman Retired Major General Palitha Fernando.
Court had lifted the travel ban after Senadhipathi’s lawyer informed the court that he would arrive from Singapore for the next court hearing on October 22.
Both Senadhipathi and Fernando face 47 charges for violating the Bribery Act.
Senadhipathi is also facing arrest over a case filed by the Attorney General before a trial-at-bar at the Colombo High Court, for the operation of an illegal floating armoury.
