Seven suspects including a criminal identified as 'Kudu Roshan' have been apprehended in Yakkala today (Sept 5) over the killing of two underworld members in Grandpass last month.
The suspects which include a Gampaha Pradeshiya sabha member representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, had been arrested by the Special Task Force.
The incident had occurred when a group in a three-wheeler had stabbed two underworld criminals near the Madampitiya Cemetery. They had died upon admission to the Colombo General Hospital.
Fifteen suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing so far.
