The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 1998 this evening after another seven patients tested positive.
The latest patients are all returnees from the US who are undergoing quarantine.
A total of 40 COVID-19 patients were reported yesterday. Eleven of those were also returnees from the US while the other 29 were merchant seamen who had come from Mumbai, India.
