Seventeen suspects have been further remanded until September 2 over the killing of two businessmen in Rathgama this year.
The order had been issued by the Galle Chief Magistrate's court today (Aug 19).
The suspects include 15 officers attached to the Southern Police Special Investigations unit, a forest ranger and a Wildlife officer.
They have been accused of abducting and killing businessmen Asela Manjula Kumara and Rasith Chinthaka on January 23.

All Ceylon Makkal Congress MP Ali Sabri Raheem had been arrested by Kalpitiya police after he surrendered to the police today morning.
