Former Parliamentarian Lakshman Kiriella has said that his party has recieved several requests regarding nominating Sajith Premadasa as the Prime Ministerial candidate at the next elections.
Responding to journalists at a media briefing, Mr. Kiriella said that the requests have drawn the attention of UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.
"I personally believe that this is a huge challenge for Sajith Premadasa. However, I feel that he should undertake this challenge" Mr. Kiriella was quoted saying afterwards.
