Six Air Force trainee soldiers were hospitalised after being attacked by wasps during a training exercise conducted in and around Pitaratmale tea plantation in Haputale, the police said.
Four of the soldiers have been admitted to the Diyatalawa Military Hospital while two were admitted to the Diyatalawa Base Hospital. The condition of the soldiers is not critical, hospital sources said.
