Six suspects including a close ally of organised criminal Makandure Madush have been arrested over the possession of a narcotic idenitifed as 'Ice' in Induruwa, Ratnapura yesterday (Jan 28).
Police said that the two suspects have been identified as a 29-year old by the name of Ranga and his paramour aged 38.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that a court warrant has already been issued on the said suspect for his alleged involvement in five crimes. He is a resident of Heiyanthuduwa, Gampaha.
It has also come to light that he was lodged at a rented house in Goluwawila, Ratnapura with his paramour.
Siripagama police are conducting investigations after having discovered the 'Ice' narcotic in the possession of the woman.
