Sixteen spill gates of the Rajanganaya Dam were opened today (Dec 5) due to heavy rains experienced in its catchment areas, the Rajanganaya Irrigation Office said.
Four spill gates were opened upto eight feet, eight spill gates upto six feet, two spill gates upto four feet, and another two spill gates were opened upto two feet.
Two spill gates of the Angamuwa Dam were also opened this afternoon.
