Sri Lanka's High Commissioner to Nigeria Sabarullah Khan presented credentials to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari last week, the Foreign Ministry said.
During a discussion which ensued, the President had thanked Sri Lanka for supporting his country at international forums including at the UN.
High Commissioner Khan had briefed the Nigerian President on the development activities taking place in Sri Lanka, the ministry added in its statement.
He had also conveyed greetings on behalf of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and all Sri Lankans.
