SLFP MPs cannot vote against NCM - Minister Lakshman Yapa

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MPs cannot oppose the No-Confidence Motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, State Miniter of Public Enterprise Development Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena said today. 

Speaking at a media briefing convened at SLFP Headquarters, the Minister also dismissed media reports which claimed that President Maithripala Sirsena had met with Premier Wickremesinghe yesterday, and agreed to work to defeat the No-Confidence Motion. 

Minister Abeywardena said as SLFP MPs cannot dismiss the points raised in the No-Confidence Motion against the PM, they would be compelled to vote in support of it. If however, the motion is defeated, the current coalition government cannot continue, he aded.
