The 16 Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MPs who left the Government recently took their seats in the Opposition side in Parliament a short while ago when President Maithripala Sirisena ceremonially opened the Second Session of the Eighth Parliament.
The MPs, who included six former Cabinet Ministers, resigned from their posts and left the Government after voting in support of the No-Confidence Motion presented against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
