The SLFP says it rejects statements being made by several non party members concerning the SLFP's future course of action.
Issuing a press release, the SLFP said the final decision that would be adopted by the party's central committee or the party leadership will be announced via the media in due course. It also noted that several individuals without any knowledge of the party's plans were addressing the media
