The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) should be committed to supporting the new government to achieve a two-thirds majority in the next general election, SLFP Chairman and former President Maithripala Sirisena said.
Mr Sirisena made these remarks today (Dec 11) at a progress review meeting of electoral organizers at the SLFP headquarters.
Further, Mr Sirisena said that the new government should have a strong two-thirds majority in the forthcoming general election in order for the new President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to develop the country and work to words a prosperous future.
