A special meeting took place last night (Feb 06) concerning the alliance that is expected to be formed by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
The meeting had taken place at President Maithripala Sirisena's official residence down Mahagamasekara Mawathe, Colombo 07.
Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa, SLPP Chairman Professor G.L Peiris, SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara, Mahinda Amaraweera, Dinesh Gunawardena, Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, Douglas Devananda, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, A.L.M. Hizbullah, and Professor Tissa Vitharana had also taken part in this meeting.
