The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will remove party organizers who have pledged support to Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa today (Nov 1), SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara said.
He explained that a SLFPer cannot join another party, while the SLFP has already joined the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna pledging support to its presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
The party organisers who would be removed from the party are those who joined the 'Api Sri' movement led by former SLFP leader Chandrika Kumaratunga.
Kumaratunga, signed an agreement to support to join the Democratic National Front alliance today, pledging support to its presidential candidate Premadasa.
