Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara has said he belives that the party will reach a decision on its approach to the presidential election during its Working Committee meeting today (Oct 5).
The SLFP and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) had recently agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to form an alliance for the upcoming election.
However, the SLFP's request to contest under a common symbol at the presidential election, should both parties form an alliance, has not drawn a positive response from the SLPP so far.
