The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and 10 other political parties not represented in Parliament will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to form an alliance today (Jul 26).
The signing of the agreement is set to take place at the Opposition Leader's office at around 9 am, the SLPP said in a press release.
Accordingly, the following parties will sign the agreement for the alliance with the SLPP:
According to the SLPP, talks had been held with 26 parties so far with regard to forming the alliance.
The proposals of these parties to establish a common policy for the alliance had been studied by 26 committees comprising representatives from each party, the SLPP noted.
