The foundation laying ceremony for a 'Smart Sri Lanka' career guidance centre took place in the Northern Province this morning.
The 'Smart Sri Lanka' project which operates under the Sri Lanka Institute of Career Guidance is expected help alleviate unemployment issues faced by the youth in the country.
Accordingly, Northern Governor Suren Raghavan laid the foundation for the Rs 25 million worth facility at the premises of the Jaffna Divisional Secretariat today.
At present, there are seven 'Smart Sri Lanka' career guidance centres in the country, They are located in Polonnaruwa, Ampara, Batticaloa, Vavuniya, Colombo, Monaragala, and Puttalam.
