The State Printing Corporation (SPC) book shop offering exercise books at a 30 percent discount was declared open at the Education Ministry today (Jul 1).
The objective of this project is to provide high-quality products at an affordable rate, Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said. He pointed out that the SPC has been able to manufacture exercise books in line with Sri Lankan quality standards.
The book store is located at the Isurupaya building at the Education Ministry in Battaramulla.
The UK government has unveiled a package of reforms to simplify imports from developing countries which allows for more garments manufactured in Sri Lanka to enter the UK tariff-free.
