Issuing a special statement, the Speaker said that today's series of tragic incidents have not affected a particular community but instead the entire motherland of Sri Lanka.
"I appeal to all citizens to join unitedly as one nation wihtout any religious or communal divisions and in the name of humanity to face this calamity," Speaker Jayasuriya's statement read.
