The Special Commission appointed to review salary structures in the state sector will commence its deliberations from today (September 03).
The 15-member Commission headed by S. Ranukge was appointed on August 20 to rectify salary anomalies in the public sector.
The Commission, appointed to review existing salary structures also held discussions with the President previously.
The President appointed the Commission considering requests made by several trade unions including railway trade unions. The commission is expected to hand over a review report at the conclusion of its term in two months.
