A special team of security personnel have been deployed to arrest drug kingpin 'Makandure Madush' who is expected to be deported from Dubai.
It is reported that 20 suspects including singer Amal Perera who were arrested along with Madush are to be deported within the next few days.
Accordingly, a special team has been set-up to arrest the suspects and produce them for questioning before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
This team would comprise officials representing the State Intelligence Service, CID, Police Narcotics Bureau, and the Colombo Crimes Division.
The team of personnel will be stationed at the airport throughout the day in order to arrest the suspects immediately after their arrival.
