Vehciular movement will be temporarily suspended from Sir James Peiris Mawatha/Slave Island Roundabout to Pittala Junction until the conclusion of the Gangarama Perahera which will commence at 7:00 pm today (Feb 18).
Accordingly vehicles travelling from Fort to Colpetty via Sir James Peiris Mawatha will be able to reach their destination via Union Place, Ibbanwela Junction/Municipal Council Roundabout and then towards their destination.
The second alternative would be to travel through Justice Akbar Mawatha, Galle Face roundabout and then towards Kollupitiya.
Meanwhile vehicles travelling towards Slave Island from Colpetty will be able to travel via the Galle Face roundabout and then reach their destination via Justice Akbar Mawatha.
Further, vehicles travelling towards the Slave Island rounabout will be able to travel through the Liberty Roundabout at Pittala Junction, Dharmapala Mawatha, Town Hall roundabout, Ibbanwela junction, and reach their destination point via Union Place.
