Sri Lanka expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of victims affected by a severe earthquake and Tsunami in Indonesia where devastating Tsunami waves killed over 830 people and left nearly 2.4 million people have been affected.
"Saddened to hear about the devastating tsunami in Indonesia. My deepest condolences to the families of those affected. Sri Lanka stands in solidarity with the people of Indonesia in this hour of grief." President Sirisena said in his office Twitter handle while expressing heartfelt condolences to the families of victims.
According to foreign media reports, death toll rose to 830 and it is estimated that at least 2.4 million people were impacted by Friday’s earthquake.
