Sri Lanka Navy together with the Sri Lanka Coast Guard arrested eight Indian fishermen along with two Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters near the Delft Island on Sunday (29).
The arrested fishermen and the trawlers were handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (Jaffna) after bringing them to Karainagar, for onward action, the government news portal reported.
