A French shipping vessel stranded in the seas off Hambantota has been resuced by the Sri Lanka Navy last week.
The shipping vessel, SY - LESSIAMOIS had been stranded due to a malfunction in its engine.
A vast attack craft belonging to the Southern Naval Command had then been deployed to rescue the crew on board and bring the vessel back to shore.
The three-member sailors crew had said that the malfunctioning had occured while it had been on its journey towards Indonesia through Sri Lanka.
