With the death of a 50-year-old woman from Kuliyapitiya who died today while receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Angoda, Sri Lanka recorded 14th coronavirus related death, according to the Health Ministry.
The woman reportedly had underlying health issues of heart condition coupled with pneumonia.
According to the Health Promotion Bureau of the Health Ministry, there are 5,453 active cases among the total number of 6,028. At least 341 patients are currently under monitoring process at hospitals while 3561 persons recovered and discharged from hospitals.
The total number of PCR tests carried out by today stands at 415,243.
