Officials in the Sri Lanka Embassy in Paris are in touch with the relevant authorities to enquire if there are any Sri Lankan nationals that have been affected. As of now, there are no reports of any Sri Lankans affected, the Ministry said in a tweet. Sri Lankans in Paris that require assistance have been advised to contact Col. Nazeer Majeed at Tel: +33620505232 or the Deputy Chief of Mission Ms Shobini Gunasekera at Tel: +33677048117.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
