Sri Lanka’s largest-ever robot battle will take place during the ‘Maker Fair’ organised by the US Embassy at Trace Expert City, Colombo, on October 20.
This will take place with the support of the Uva Wellassa University, the US Embassy said in a statement.
“We’re extremely excited to be able to showcase this robot-battle at the Maker Fair,” Makerspace facilitator Ranjan Kulatunaga was quoted as saying in the statement.
The Makerspace program centred on innovation and engineering, was launched by the US Embassy, in October 2016.
The Maker Fair – the second of its kind, will feature innovation workshops for youth and panel discussions by technology experts, while showcasing more than 65 innovators and their inventions.
The exhibition will be open free-of-charge between 9 am to 6 pm to visitors of all ages.
